Sponsorship Applications for the Japan Pavilion and Garden Now Open

Seeking Sponsors to Help Enhance the Appeal of the Japan Pavilion and Garden

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, with the Japan Association for the International Horticultural Expo 2027 serving as the secretariat, began accepting sponsorship applications on Thursday, December 25, 2025, for the Japan Pavilion and Garden at GREEN×EXPO 2027, which will be presented as the official indoor and outdoor exhibition by the Government of Japan.

Overview of the Japan Pavilion and Garden

The Japan Pavilion and Garden is planned for the largest exhibition area at GREEN×EXPO 2027, covering 2.5 hectares. The area will include a garden, environmentally conscious single-story wooden architecture, indoor exhibitions, smart agriculture exhibits, and other features.（See Appendix 1）。

Sponsorship Categories

Sponsorship for the Japan Pavilion and Garden is a framework through which companies and organizations can provide support in the form of funds, goods, or services.

Expected sponsorship categories include support for outdoor heat countermeasures, equipment used for indoor exhibitions, materials and facilities related to smart agriculture, and inquiry-based learning programs developed in collaboration with future generations.

The categories for which sponsorship is sought will be updated as planning for the Japan Pavilion and Garden progresses.

Sponsorship Methods

Sponsorship may be provided through any of the following methods. Goods may include assets such as properties or facilities.

1. Financial Support
    Provision of funds that contribute to enhancing the appeal of the Japan Pavilion and Garden.
2. Provision of Goods
    Free provision of goods and other physical items required for the Japan Pavilion and Garden.
3. Provision of Services
    Free provision of technologies, services, personnel, and other support required for the Japan Pavilion and Garden.
4. Free Loan
    Free lending of facilities, goods, and other items required for the Japan Pavilion and Garden, while ownership remains with the sponsor.

  As a general rule, please submit the complete set of application documents by email to the contact listed in the sponsorship application guidelines. Applications by postal mail will also be accepted only if submission by email is not possible.

The documents include information on participation in the sponsorship program, including application procedures.
